About JA Outboard Service

JA Outboard Service Inc. was founded in 2000. Our company specializes in service and repair of Suzuki and Yamaha engines. In 2021, we were accepted in the Society of American Marine Surveyors as a Marine Surveyor Associate. We survey most outboard powered vessels. Professional development is key to staying abreast of all the new technology and perfecting our technical skills. Training is achieved through American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and Marine Career Training Institute of North America (MCTINA).

• As a marine surveyor, I have the following qualifications many of the certificates can be viewed in the above PDFs.
• Graduate of Broward College - Marine Engineering Management Degree Associate in Science.
• ABYC Certified Master Marine Technician - Composite Boat Builder (2015), Gasoline Engine (2016), Marine Electrical (2016), A/C Refrigeration (2016) and ABYC Standards Certified (2021).
• CDI Electronics, Inc. - Ignition Service School - 40 hours
• Attended annually manufacturers supported technician courses on 2- and 4-stroke outboard engine technology, direct fuel injection (DFI) technology, electronic fuel ignition (EFI) technology, gear case rebuilding, CAN BUS systems and AC powered generators. All courses approved by Marine Career Training Institute of North America (MCTINA).
• Twenty-five years of marine service experience specializing in outboard engine powerboats. I have restored many of my customers' boats and worked alongside of my associates to deliver a complete package.
